Diligent, humble and charismatic. Slightly smaller in stature, but once his feet hit the hardwood floor, he transformed into the biggest player in the room. Calling him gifted at this sport would be disrespectful because everything he can do now is the result of his work ethic and perseverance. I wish I were talking about myself, but the person I just described was a freshman at my high school. And I would have never guessed that, of all people, he would be the one to mentor me throughout my journey with volleyball.
