What is Ascend Now’s Coding Program?

We have two types of coding/programming programs – one that focuses on logical thinking, UI/UX and no-code and the other focusing on fundamental Python. 

Build an actual game or an app!
Learn the basics and work with your coach to bring your ideas to life! Start small and build from there. 

Program Details

  1. No-Code App Development

    Age 8-11

    24 Hours

    In this program, students learn basic no-code tools such as bubble.io. They also learn the fundamentals of UI/UX and how to prototype their app. 

    Focus on Logical Thinking
    UI/UX requires logical frameworks and an eye for design. Students get to create their ideal website/app and convert it into a live prototype.

    Learn Future Skills
    If students don’t have the time to learn coding from scratch, no-code tools are a great way to still create a viable and usable application for their projects. 

    Valuable Experience
    Building a functioning app and getting users is a valuable experience that they can highlight in their college applications!

  2. Programming Fundamentals

    Age 11-18

    50 Hours

    In this program, students learn how to actually write code Python. They will learn the fundamentals, different applications and work on one or two simple projects. 

    Learn a High Demand Skill
    Coding and programming is a high value skill but it requires high amounts of time and effort investment from the student. 

    Strong Fundamentals
    The aim of the program is to ensure students have a strong understandings of the basics and have worked through one to two projects.

    Create and showcase a portfolio

    Students will learn about GitHub and begin creating their portfolio of projects. This could be from simple games and tools to more complex applications.
