In these programs, students not only learn the basics of finance and investing, but also create a stock portfolio and showcase their knowledge.

Program Details

  1. Basics of Personal Finance 

    Age 9-13

    24 Hours

    This program is for young students to start thinking about money in a different way. To understand how to budget, how taxes work and how to create a personal finance plan.

    Early Exposure To Key Topics

    Students learn the difference between spending, earning, saving and investing. They also learn about compound interest, and how to budget.

    Introduction To Excel
    Students learn how to use Microsoft Excel and create models that are adjustable and use that information to support their presentation.

    Final Presentation
    Students will present their budget and money management plan to various stakeholders – parents, educators and representatives from Ascend Now. 

  2. Investing Program

    Age 14-18

    32 Hours

    This program is advanced and teaches students how to invest and create a stock portfolio. They will finally present their investment strategies to bankers from Top Tier companies.

    Ideal For Students Who Want To Study Finance

    These are core topics taught in business school but by giving exposure to students in high school, will allow them to strengthen their application.

    Ideal for Competitions
    Students can use this knowledge for various investment and finance related competitions. It also allows them to write research papers and articles. 

    Presentation and Networking

    Students present their paper investments and portfolio to investment bankers from Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and other top tier investment banks.
